Bulgaria’s transition to democracy and a market economy after the collapse of communism has not been easy. With many former communists retaining power there has been a great deal of instability. This documentary reveals a rapidly changing country through the experiences of John, a British man, who on the eve of Bulgaria joining the EU moved to a remote Bulgarian village in the mountains.
